Are you in Central London and looking for a brunch place? Join me for the best Fallow brunch in the heart of St James and Piccadilly Circus.
When it comes to brunch, London is not short of exceptional choices, but very few can match the innovative flair and sustainability-driven ethos of Fallow Restaurant. It’s not just an eatery but a culinary experience where “conscious creativity meets hospitality experience and passion”.
From ethically sourced ingredients to creatively designed dishes, Fallow will elevate your brunch experience with unique flavours, leaving you craving more. Last Christmas, I had the pleasure of dining at Fallow Restaurant, and I can’t wait to share my experience with you.
Having lived in London for 10+ years and spent too many weekends, then I want to admit, brunching around London. It’s not easy to find a brunch menu that still excites me. I wasn’t super keen when Mr. Hubbie announced that he finally managed to reserve a table for Fallow brunch.
You know, being in central London, a few steps and hop away from Piccadilly Circus, “ding ding ding tourist trap” was all I could think of. However, a quick Google search made me realise the calibre of restaurant we’re looking at here.
I also learnt that Fallow was founded in May 2019 by two chefs, Jack Croft and William Murray and an entrepreneur, James Robson. Both chefs came from Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and have experiences in some of the world’s top restaurants, such as El Cellar De Can Roca, Fat Duck and Clove Club!
I’ve been fortunate enough to dine in their other restaurants in the past, and they were exquisite in their own way!! So, I was looking forward to dining here.
Ooh boy, I can categorically say that Fallow’s brunch was delissimo! Their mouthwatering English muffin meets French croissants, Signature Croissant Royales, and tangy crispy corn ribs have left us both craving to go back many times again ➖ If only it wasn’t so hard to reserve a table!! Yes, they have gotten very popular these days, especially on the weekends, understandably so!
Whether you’re a local looking for your next foodie adventure or a traveller seeking the best London dining experience (and sick of eating at tourist traps), read on to see why Fallow deserves a top spot on your must-visit list.

How to get to Fallow?
Getting to Fallow is super easy and central to most tourist hotspots, so if you’re touring London, you can just pop in for a meal, provided you book well in advance!
Fallow, 52 Haymarket, London, SW1Y 4RP
It is situated in the heart of St James, the famous Piccadilly Circus and Regent Street. The easiest way to get to Fallow is to catch the Underground and get off at Piccadilly Circus stop. Take the Regent Street, St James exit, and it’s a short walk to Fallow.
Alternatively, you can catch the double-decker bus. There are plenty that will go to Piccadilly Circus and are frequently available. If you haven’t been on the Big Red Bus, then make sure you add it to your London things to do list!
Furthermore, if you happen to be here during Christmas, it’s the best way to see the Christmas angels on Regent Street! Trust me, it’s magical!

Whether you live in London or just visiting, it’s hard to deny the charms and buzz that pull you to central London. Particularly during the holiday season. Christmas decorations light up our famous streets and iconic shop fronts. So quintessentially London!
When in central London, don’t always trust the queues
As I mentioned, being a foodie in London with 10+ years of restaurant hopping, the Mr and I have gotten pretty good at picking out good restaurants. So trust me when I say Fallow is good!
One thing you should know about London is that it is always busy! Particularly on the weekends and especially during the holiday season! Most eateries, cafes, and pubs in famous locations will likely have people spilling over onto the pavement queuing up for a table.
However, I’m just going to put it out there… just because a restaurant is packed and has a queue, doesn’t always mean it is good. Without insider knowledge, you may end up in a tourist trap with suboptimal food and paying high prices. Hello Cafe Concerto!
An Innovative Fallow Brunch Menu was what we got
You’d want to go for their breakfast and brunch menu ➖ 7:30-10:30 am Monday to Friday and 9:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays. However, if you managed to get a booking for Sunday Roast, then grab it! I’ve heard that it’s one of the best, but sadly, I’m still trying to get a table!!
When we went, we were able to order from their lunch and brunch menu, which was what we did. I think they have changed the model now. So you’d have to go again for their lunch menu.
For Entrees: Tangy Crispy Corn Ribs and Beef Carpaccio
It was a tough decision. They all sounded delicious. The chefs’ creativity knows no bounds. Mixing the simplest ingredients with flavours you’d never thought would go together that creates a culinary explosion in your mouth.
We finally settled on tangy crispy Corn Ribs with kombu seasoning and Beef Carpaccio with anchovy mayonnaise.

I’ve had plenty of grilled corn and beef carpaccio, but never like these. The crispy corn ribs sprinkled with kombu seasoning were just divine! It was an explosion of salty, spicy and tangy (from the lime) in your mouth!
The beef carpaccio! Who would’ve thought anchovy mayonnaise and grated horseradish were a match made in the gastronomy heaven? *Chef’s kiss*
The Stars of the Show were their Signature Croissant Royales
This is THE reason you’d go for a Fallow brunch. The pièce de résistance is their signature Croissant Royales, where fluffy and crispy croissants meet English muffin, plus Fallow stamp as a bonus.

Doesn’t the crispy golden pastry look delicious?! If it wasn’t so hard to book a table, I’d be there every week!
The Salmon Belly Royale was served with sautéed spinach, lemon mayo and perfectly fried egg. I must admit, the salmon on its own was a bit salty, but when eaten with the croissant and the spinach, the flavours were nicely balanced.
Alan had the Sausage Royale served with cheese, bacon, egg, and kombu ketchup.
We always switch halfway. This way we get to try more dishes. They were both delicious with an innovative flair. Most of the time, I like my choice more, but this time, I actually preferred Alan’s just a tad more.
It’s hard to come up with new inventions for breakfast dishes these days. The Fallow brunch menu was super creative and delicious!
What to Wear?
In terms of dress code, Fallow’s only requirement is to wear what’s comfortable to you. And it’s true. People wore all sorts of styles. From jeans and T-shirts to cocktail dresses, and everything in between.
You can’t really go wrong with an elevated everyday look nor will be look out of place should you want to glam up.

I wore my signature three pieces: a long flowy skirt from Ulla Johnson (old), similar here (currently on sale) and here (budget-friendly option), long sleeve top and a long cashmere coat from Walker Slater (also an oldie), similar here, here (on sale) and here. I styled it with black ankle boots from Stuart Weitzman, super comfortable!

Now time to walk off our food and soak in the Christmas spirit
After all that food, a long walk is a must! Take a walk along Regent Street – do some shopping. If you happen to be here during Christmas time, take a romantic stroll under the Christmas angels. I absolutely love London at this time. Have I mentioned this already? It never gets old. Ten years on, it still brings me so much joy!

Hope you enjoyed coming to brunch with me at Fallow restaurant and feel enticed to visit them! If you do, don’t forget to make a reservation a few weeks in advance. I am going to try their Sunday roast or dinner menu next time. It looks yummy!
If you do go or have been, drop me a note and let me know what you think!
